COMPANY HISTORY
Natware (Pty) Ltd is a well established & experienced procurement company who has been supplying catering goods & provisions stores (dry, fresh & frozen goods) to a wide variety of local & international clients.
The company was founded by Oscar Sorvaag a retired Norwegian Whaler and in its first year after inception, the company traded under the name of National Ship Chandlers after some years a separate company was founded with the name of Natware (Pty) Ltd which for some years concentrated mainly to supply the maritime industry.
Natware (Pty) Ltd began their operations in the late eighties under the directorship of Mr G.R. Louw supplying food packs to various companies, which also included diamond mining companies in Angola. While servicing International/fishing companies in South Africa in regards to their bunkering needs through World Marine & Offshore Supply Company (affiliated company to Natware) he also felt it essential to be able to provide for his client’s chandelling requirements. For this purpose he acquired Natware (Pty) Ltd. Our operations have also recently expanded to include the restaurant industry, governmental departments, catering companies and various exports to countries like Angola/DRC.
Natware (Pty) Ltd has remained a major supplier to local & international vessels for over twenty years. The consistently, competitive, quality and reliability of Natware’s’ service as well as the ability to adapt to changes in the market, has resulted in ongoing contracts with respectable clients, locally as well as internationally.
In 2003 Natware (Pty) Ltd tendered for the Social Services Food Parcel Project and was chosen from + 70 different supplier companies. The ultimate aim of the project was to alleviate poverty focusing on families with no income and HIV affected families.
